NETA Logo
NETA – The International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) is an accredited standards developer for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and defines the standards by which electrical equipment is deemed safe and reliable. NETA Certified Technicians conduct the tests that ensure equipment meets the association’s stringent specifications. NETA is the leading source of specifications, procedures, testing and requirements, not only for commissioning new equipment, but also for testing the reliability and performance of existing equipment. NETA’s mission is to serve the electrical testing industry by establishing standards, publishing specifications, accrediting independent testing companies, certifying test technicians and promoting the professional services of its members. The Association also collects and disseminates information and data of value to the electrical industry and educates the public and end user about the merits of electrical acceptance and maintenance testing.
CSA – Canadian Standards Association
As thought leaders for many years in the electrical maintenance industry, Shermco staff and management has participated in standards activities in Canada as well as in the USA.  In support of the CSA Group Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety Standard and especially the Z463 Guideline on Maintenance of Electrical Systems, the dedication of Shermco to personnel and machinery safety has helped assure that the industry has the tools and procedures to identify, understand, manage and mitigate electrical hazards and to be aware of the critical role that good maintenance of power systems equipment plays in maintaining a safe workplace.
EASA Logo
EASA – EASA is a dynamic, professional trade organization that is recognized internationally as the leader in the electrical and mechanical apparatus sales, service and repair industry. EASA provides an ongoing flow of industry information and education that helps members worldwide serve as total solution providers for electrical and mechanical equipment and systems. EASA serves members who sell and service electrical, electronic and mechanical apparatus by educating, informing and promoting the highest standards of performance and ethics for the benefit of the industry as a whole. To achieve this goal, EASA publishes a wide range of reference materials and articles and maintains a database containing the largest variety of motor winding data available anywhere. EASA also provides engineering consulting services to members and works with manufacturers, industry organizations and government agencies to promote better repair standards and assure the highest quality professional service for customers. In addition, EASA sponsors numerous training and educational programs, as well as an annual convention and exhibition.
AWEA – As a long time major sponsor of the American Wind Energy Association, Shermco Industries participates at most AWEA events as presenters, exhibitors and working group members to encourage, educate and promote good maintenance practices and professionalism in the rapidly growing renewable energy market sector. AWEA promotes responsible stewardship of our natural resources, as well as the strong financial advantages of a diverse and balanced approach to electrical generation.
Vensys
Vensys – Vensys Energy AG, based in Neunkirchen, Germany is a designer and manufacturer of leading-edge permanent magnet direct drive wind turbines. We maintain a close relationship with Vensys as their preferred EPC and installation partner in North America.
SMRP
SMRP – Based on the Five Pillars of Knowledge, the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals is an organization formed by practitioners for practitioners. Through local chapters meetings and events as well as national conferences, the organization trains and supports those professionals dedicated to reducing costs and improving manufacturing performance by implementing smart strategies, metrics and benchmarking.
IEEE – Through involvement with both local chapters and national committees of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Shermco Industries both receives the benefits of that large body of experts, as well as contributes to standards and recommended practices based on our own experiences and expertise. IEEE membership allows access to the many like-minded engineers working together to identify and solve many of the issues regarding power generation, equipment design and the smart grid.
SKF
SKF – SKF, the world leader in bearing technology, also is a leader in electrical testing equipment, vibration analysis and condition monitoring. We partner at many levels with SKF, including having the honor of being selected as an SKF-certified motor and generator repair facility. SKF also manufactures and technically supports many of the test instruments utilized to diagnose motor and generator issues both in the field and in our facilities.
PEARL
PEARL (Professional Electrical Apparatus Recyclers League) – A membership organization of companies serving the electrical and associated industries that develops technical standards pertaining to the reconditioning of a wide variety of common electrical products used in commercial and industrial applications. Shermco Industries volunteers are active in both standards development and leadership roles.
Spencer – Spencer Turbine is the leading manufacturer of air and gas blowers and vacuum systems featuring Power Mizer® cast blowers, Vortex® regenerative blowers. They also supply custom blowers and gas boosters and a complete line of industrial and commercial traditional blowers and vacuum systems. Shermco is proud to be their service partner offering factory authorized start-up and maintenance services as well as OEM parts, refurbishment and remanufacturing in our Irving TX location.
 
FOA – The Fiber Optic Association is an international non-profit organization chartered in 1995 to promote professionalism in fiber optics through education, certification and standards.  The FOA evaluates and approves training programs and certifies instructors, textbooks and training courses.  All Shermco fiber optic technicians are trained to the highest degree of skill and professionalism through FOA approved programs and are certified to meet exacting quality standards.
